This guy reclines, seemingly oblivious to the gaze of the viewer. We are peeking in on the subject in the best tradition of boudoir art. Only the focus of our attention is male, not female.

The cover of Temptations 2 from Xcite books, an erotic publisher that caters to women. Editor Miranda Forbes made the decision to place an erotic photo of a man on the cover against industry "wisdom" that insists straight women don't buy books with this kind of cover.
The focus on the torso is an inversion of what we normally see.

In this photo the woman has the power. The man poses, the women takes control by gripping his buttocks. It's a sexual photo but one in which the woman is in control.

The first photo is unusual because the man is looking into the lens of the camera, acknowledging the audience and his role as the subject. In porn it's normally the woman who looks at the camera. His lover's feet are all that's shown of the female but she is in control. The photo is undisputably about the male.

The second photo shows the couple in a tantric position. The interesting thing about this is the unusual camera angle - from directly above the pair. This means both subjects are framed equally.

This is a fairly ordinary yet nice looking guy in the process of undressing. He's not shyly looking away; he's aware of his role as subject. In male strip shows, this "half a penis" tease is as far as many of them are prepared to go. The penis is still kept hidden.

Once again, she's in control, on top and directing his actions. Of interest here is the way this woman doesn't conform to standard ideas of female beauty - she has short hair and a less-than perfect body. The image validates her as a sexual being.
